How To Make Warming Butterbeer From Harry Potter

As autumn begins to set in, I find myself drawn to a cosy corner with my favourite book and a delicious cup of Harry Potter Warming Butterbeer.

Butterbeer is a popular beverage in the wizarding world of Harry Potter. It tastes ” a little bit like less-sickly butterscotch and comes in two varities – foaming hot in mugs or cold in a bottle. I myself love enjoying a large mug of warming butterbeer as I enjoy my favourite chapter book.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a dash of cinnamon

How To Make Butter Beer

Step 1

Get your favourite sauce pan or cauldron and heat on a medium to high heat. Add the butter and the sugar. Heat the brown sugar and butter in a pan on medium-high heat. Stir often and keep heating until it starts to caramelize and you just start to see large bubbles forming on the surface.

Step 2

Slowly add the milk and stir until it’s completely mixed in. Don’t worry if the brown sugar and butter seems to solidify when you add the milk; just keep stirring the mixture over medium-high heat and it will all melt and mix together.

Step 3

Once the milk is mixed in, add the vanilla extract and cinnamon and stir to incorporate.

Then turn off the heat, ladle it into a mug, add another sprinkle of cinnamon on top, and you have yourself a delicious homemade butterbeer latte!
